About Hilly

Hilly the Clown has recently been trained as a Certified Laughter Leader through the World Laughter Tour and is a member of the Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor as well as The World Clown Association. She is currently studying to become a Certified Music Practitioner through The Music for Healing and Transition Program, Inc. Her outreach program for The Ronald McDonald House of Denver consisting of a Music Together class, laughter workshop, and healing stories is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2005, on Tuesday evenings from 7:00pm - 8:00pm. Donations will be accepted for materials for the families and children to use, as this program is completely voluntary. Hilly will be scheduling concerts in the Denver area to raise funds for this special program. Please call or email to find out about concert information.

Hilly also has experience as a trainer for the Child Care Connection in Anchorage, AK. She created several workshops for childcare workers in the process of obtaining their early childhood development associate certification. The topics Hilly taught on were "Building the Brain with Music" "Music and Movement" "Circle Time" "Math for the Very Young" "Adult Active Listening Skills" and "Dramatic Play." Hilly has had experience as a preschool teacher and is also a certified Kinderdance Early Childhood Education Movement Specialist and certified Junior Jazzercise Instructor for ages up to 18.

One of Hilly's favorite activities is performing with the improvisational group Denver Street Theatre. They perform once a month at the Full Moon Book Store in Lakewood. If you feel the need to laugh and loved the show "Whose Line Is It Anyway"  you'll really enjoy having fun with Denver Street Theatre!

Hilly, also known as Hillary Saffran, plans to appear in more local community theatrical and musical productions in the near future.
